Here it finally is! We have many customers and friends who have been storing their bikes with us over the years. Some have bought new bikes, others have hung up their helmets, and some have shipped over second and third bikes. Whatever the reason, to satisfy the requests of our customers we have provided this forum for you to possibly find or sell a bike, or maybe some equipment you can use on your next trip.

I am not acting as a seller or a buyer, but providing an extra service to our customers so that they can sell or buy what they have or are looking for. Any transactions will be between the buyer and the seller; and following this the responsibility of accurately representing what is being sold and the satisfaction of the buyer is strictly between them. Gladly, I am here to help put you in contact with each other, where I can to give you advice about registration or paperwork, when possible to give you an opinion of what is being sold, and to provide a convenient place of transaction so that you don't have the added worry about arranging to transport a bike from one place to another - the bike/goods being sold will already be here in our storage facility and will be kept here until you arrive to ride it on your vacation. The only cost of using this service is a voluntary shared commission of 3% from the buyer and 3% from the seller of the listed price.

If you would like to sell your motorcycle or equipment, then please send me an an email with all the pertinent information - the more information the better for others to read. (Please only list items for sale which are located in Europe. One of the goals of offering this service is to satisfy the requests of clients who are looking for motorcycles already on this side of the ocean.) Of course if you have any photos, please include them as well. If your bike is already here in our storage facility and you don't have any recent photos, then let me know if you would like some pictures included and I will do my amateurish best to take some snapshots for you!

If you would like to buy anything that is listed for sale, then please contact the person directly if they have given their contact details. I will do my best to put you in touch with the seller or when time permits, I will try to answer questions you might have about the bike if it is here.

2002 R1150RT

RT has 90,900 miles. I bought it from a guy in Alabama and shipped it 5 years ago with 48,000 miles.

One photo shows a side panel crack. The previous owner did that trying to force a new battery in.
Engine shutoff switch does not work. Need to use key.
One side case doesn’t lock. Had the troublesome BMW lock tab break off.  I added the extra wide lids for more space.

Added “GS” style mirrors
Has a cruise control throttle lock
Givi Top case was new when I installed it with passenger back rest and top rack.
Added Cee Baileys taller windshield and Sargent seat this summer before my ride.
One photo shows my custom back rack.  I use it when my wife comes along. Its off the bike now and in storage there.
BMW Tank Bag
Clymer R1150 Repair manual is with bike.  Tool kit.
I had Ohlins shocks (front & rear) installed 4 years ago.  Had them rebuilt here and sent over and installed by BMW dealer there.  As I mentioned the rear had a gas leak on the trip in 2018 and I had the Ohlins shop over there rebuild the rear 6500 miles ago.

Maintenance Status:

Rear end seal failed at the end of my 2017 trip.  Was shipped back to Stefan’s BMW Dealer and was rebuilt.
New Battery installed during 2017 summer ride.
Front fork seals replaced in Prague this trip in 2018
All fluids changed 2500 miles ago.
I’ve kept the price low as I am now shipping a GS to Stefan’s.

Rear tire was installed this year in Belgium…has about 2500 miles on it.  Front tire was installed before my trip in July…has about 4500 miles on it.

2004 R1100S

I'm putting up my very well sorted R1100S for sale.  The bike is set up for sport touring and is currently stored in Germany at Knopf Tours. So, if you may be planning any trips to EU or an extended ride, this is a fantastic opportunity.  Asking $5000 firm.  Bike currently has approximately 22,000 Km.

Some of the items;
- K&N air filter
- Oil changed every year when I went over to ride.  Approx every 2-3K miles.
- Had clutch and all relevant seals replaced in 2017. ($1,700 repair)
- Ohlins front and rear  (rebuilt in 2016)
- Full Remus race exhaust (incredible throaty sound)
- Booster plug installed.
- Kaoko throttle controller.
- R and D bar back bar risers installed (allows a more upright riding position).
- Suburban Machinery peg lowerers (afford a more comfortable leg position for long days touring).
- BMW OEM touring hard cases.
- Givi 46 litre top case
- BMW Touring wind screen with MRA wind deflector
- Bike stored at Knopf Tours since 2010.  Always garaged.
- Wunderlich front headlight protector
- Wired for Garmin Zumo GPS

I would go over about every year and do a two-week tour then the bike went back into storage.
It may have a minor scratch or two as I know that it has had tip overs but nothing when the bike was moving. It is in great shape and is a great option as a sport touring bike for EU.
The 1100S was voted the best sport touring bike for the Alps for three consecutive years by ALPENtourer Magazine.

Stefan Knopf is very knowledgeable and assists in transferring ownership from me to you with the bike still in Germany.  This may vary from state to state but I know is done quite frequently.

If you have any questions about riding in the EU or how it works having a bike registered in US but stored in the EU, just let me know.  A good thing is that for any "photo speed tickets" in the EU, these are issued by license plate.  Because this bike has Utah plates, I have never received a speeding ticket.

Pics are of the bike as set up for shipment to Germany.  I'll find some recent pics and post them soon.
